Fellowship Class

The "Fellowship" identity was first adopted by unified membership acclaim in the early seventies when former teacher Charles Slusser Bible-educated his dozen or so seniors in the right front pews of the sanctuary.

Today, the Fellowship Class, that exclusive little group of senior citizens, still assembles just beyond the accordion curtain in the fellowship room south of the gym.  The class portrays many claims -- They are:

  • Collectively, a fountain of wisdom traditionally accorded to the elders (members average 75 years of experience).
  • Class of longest uninterrupted tenure.
  • Smallest class in member numbers.
  • Proudly boasts most great-grandchildren.
  • Honored with most senior teacher, Vera Zeigler.
  • Harbors most physical aches and pains per capita.
  • Class "feedback" participation is renown (sorry, teacher).
  • Class dress code is mature (some say antiquated).
  • Displays more eyeglasses per capita.
  • More balding heads per capita.
  • More dentures per capita.
  • More hearing aids and canes per capita.
