GRACELAND
Welcome to “Camp” Graceland!
Here at Camp Graceland we believe that being prepared is the best way to make the most of the opportunities God gives us. Just as having the right tools along can make a camping trip more successful, we want to equip our 1st-5th graders with some of the tools necessary for successful Godly living.
We want the children to learn how to make God a part of their everyday decisions and we want to have these insights become part of their hearts. That is why we are asking for the children to memorize a verse of Scripture each week. We believe that if they begin hiding the Word of God in their hearts at this young age, it will stay with them the rest of their lives.
When the children arrive at Graceland the leaders will be there to listen to them share about their previous week, and to listen to their memorized Bible verse and prayer requests. We'll be using lots of hands-on activities and team building games to learn about the Bible and God, and build relationships with each other.
We are going to spend this year exploring how to live our lives using Godly wisdom in practical ways. We'll learn how to keep sin out of our lives, the importance of listening, and God's view on money. We'll also study basic Christian beliefs such as how God controls our lives and what it means to repent.
It is also a priority of the leaders to become a trusted friend ot these children. We hope to model Jesus for the children - by caring for each other as we live out our everyday lives. We take our responsibility seriously to teach your children about God and with a humble spirit.
