"My House," Says the Lord, "Shall Be a House of Prayer"
At Highland Park Baptist Church, we are seeking to fulfill the expectation of Jesus that the Church is to be a "house of prayer."
We realize this doesn't mean just being a building where people pray, but rather it means becoming a "people of prayer."
Our commitment to the Lord and His people here at Highland Park:
- Provide resources which encourage and help us to pray.
- Provide a variety of times and formats for prayer so that people can choose when and where to become involved.
- Maintain an active list of those needing prayer, with follow-up reports on ways God has answered.
- Make prayer a central element of our worship and corporate life -- not simply one of many things we do together, but a key element of our gatherings.
We urge each of you -- take advantage of any opportunity to enter into a deeper life of prayer. God has made us partners with Himself in accomplishing His will on the earth -- when we pray, He works!
"But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
